About
Fund operations should run themselves. We're making it so.
FundClose is the operating system for emerging real estate syndicators — the managers running $10M to $500M who sit between the single-deal GPs on spreadsheets and the institutional funds on Juniper Square. We're building what that middle deserves: AI-native, approval-gated, and transparent.
Mission
Why we exist
Emerging managers do the work of an institutional fund with the ops team of a startup. K-1 season eats a month of principal time. Sub-docs die in email threads. Every distribution is a formula-checking anxiety event.
That's not a technology problem — that's a product problem. The ops tools for $50M funds were built for $500M funds and priced down, or for $5M deals and scaled up. Neither fits. We're building the tool for the middle, AI-native from day one, with human approval as a load-bearing architectural piece rather than a compliance afterthought.
Values
What we hold to
It's structural. Every money-touching action routes through an explicit approval state modeled in a state machine. You can audit who approved what, when, based on what draft, from what source. Always.
Sub-doc field → investor record → cap account → distribution → K-1 is one continuous graph. No webhooks between products, no "sync this table to that one." The same row you edited in sub-doc intake is the row the K-1 batcher reads.
Export everything at any time. And because we expose MCP, the AI agents operating on your fund don't have to be ours — you can bring your own, attach to our tools, and run queries your fund admin hadn't thought of.
