FAQ
Questions emerging managers ask us
How long does setup take?
Most GPs are live within 7–10 business days. Day 1–3: data migration (investors, deals, prior distributions). Day 4–7: sub-doc template intake with your counsel's document. Day 8–10: training for your team plus your CPA. Scale-tier customers get a dedicated onboarding manager.
Can you migrate data from InvestNext or Juniper Square?
Yes. We import investor records, capital commitments, contribution history, and distribution ledger from CSV/Excel exports, your existing fund admin's reports, or direct API pulls where the source system supports it. Typical migration moves in parallel over 2 weeks with validation against your prior-quarter statements.
How is AI governed? What keeps it from making up numbers?
Every agent output ships with source citations, and every money-touching action routes through a human approval gate modeled as a state machine (AASM in our backend). Agents cannot move money, send a distribution notice, or deliver a K-1 without an explicit human approval. Drafts are versioned via PaperTrail so you can see exactly what the agent proposed, what you changed, and when.
How accurate is K-1 matching?
For Year 1 customers, we see 97–99% match rate on the first pass using SSN/EIN + fuzzy name. The remaining 1–3% surface in a review queue with the ambiguous candidates ranked. We do not auto-deliver any K-1 we're not confident about — it sits in the queue for your signoff.
What's the deal with 'switching from InvestNext'?
We have a dedicated migration path. InvestNext customers typically move because they want the AI-native workflow and transparent pricing; we handle the historical data import and keep both systems parallel for a quarter of overlap so nothing breaks. No punitive contracts to tear up on our side.
Contract length? Lock-in?
Month-to-month on Starter. Annual on Growth and Scale (15% savings). If you leave, we export your full data as CSV and PDFs within 5 business days. We don't hold customer data hostage.
