Matching logic

Pass 1 SSN / EIN exact match

Highest confidence. The identifier on the K-1 matches the identifier on the investor record from the sub-doc. Auto-matched.

Pass 2 Fuzzy name + tax year

SSN missing or redacted? We score name similarity (Levenshtein + token-set ratio) filtered by the LPs in that fund for that year. High-confidence matches auto-apply, borderline cases queue for review.

Pass 3 Filename regex

Your CPA names files like K1_Smith_TY25.pdf? We extract a pattern and match. Last resort, always queues for human review.
